The (New) Science of Using Phytosubstances for Wellness

We consult on the science of plant-based substances and how they can benefit health and wellness of specific populations and reduce health care costs. We assist health organizations to develop strategies that incorporate phytosubstances into their wellness programs. And we create educational programs for medical practitioners and patients.

We believe that plant-based substances (phytosubstances) can be key to increasing health, preventing diseases and decreasing healthcare costs. We offer valid scientific research assessments as to which phytosubstances are proven to have beneficial effects and how they can be best put to use to create health. Our work is based on current scientific research of specific natural substances and the molecular pathways through which they operate.

Medicinal plants have been used for thousands of years and first appeared in written text in Ancient Sumer about 4000 years ago. Since then, they have been used in most cultures. Currently, 80% of the world's population relies on plants for primary healthcare, mainly drawing on folk wisdom and oral traditions. However, there is now a growing body of scientific research that supports the effectiveness of using plant-based substances for wellness.

As lifespan extends and people take more responsibility for their wellness, they want to be better informed about plant-based substances. Scientists have recently been able to identify the biological pathways and molecular channels of operation of many phytosubstances, as well as document their observable health benefits. Hundreds of thousands of research studies have been published related to such substances - a body of literature we have been intensely studying for over five years.
